Registration procedure for danish domain names

If you want to register a danish domain name (example testdom.dk) will the registration take place as described by the following procedure.

1. Fill out our online registration formular with the necessary informations. Please notice, that a domain can only be accepted as coming from a company if it is registered with a VAT number – otherwise the domain is registered to an individual person (which is not a good idea for a company).

   IMPORTANT:
   It is very important that the email listed on the form is one that is checked regularly; since all future information’s (including billing) regarding the domain will be send to this address in electronic form.
   

2. When we receive the order we start the registration process and will send the registration information to DK Hostmaster. In the course of one to two working days we receive a verification or a rejection with the cause of this (in must cases the domain is already registered).
3. After the registration the domain must be activated at DK Hostmaster – as described by them:

   On August 1st 2003 DK Hostmaster will implement a new routine concerning registration 
   of domain names. This will be done in order to ensure that all information attached to 
   a domain is correct because today domains are often being registered with incorrect 
   information and without email addresses.
   
   
   After receipt of the domain registration the domain will be registrered as follows:
   
   
      1. After registration of a domain at DK Hostmaster the domain will 
         not be available until we have received an acceptance from the registrant.
   
      2. DK Hostmaster will send a register transcript containing register information, 
         DK handle and pin code to the registrant. In this letter the registrant will be
         asked to activate the new domain on DK Hostmaster's website by means of DK handle
         and pin code. Furthermore the registrant will be asked to check that there is no 
         incorrect information and that a correct email address has been attached to the 
         domain. By activating the domain the registrant fully acknowledges and accepts 
         DIFO's at any time present rules.
   
      3. If a domain has not been activated within 2 months DK Hostmaster will send a 
         letter with a warning to the registrant. In this letter the registrant is given 1
         month's notice to activate the domain. Should the domain still not have been 
         activated after 1 month the domain will be deleted without further notice.

4. Future billing of the domain will be done directly from DK Hostmaser. The invoice will be send electronically to the administrative email address (as posted in conjunction with the registration process).
