Domain name service, commonly referred to simply as 'name service' or 'DNS', is the most fundamental element of the Internet's infrastructure. This service keeps track of which server a website resides on - a bit like a phone book in which you can look up a person's name and find their home address. If a domain name is not linked to a name service, it is not visible on the Internet, because no-one can "see" it - it's that simple.
All our solutions include name service for a single domain name, so a DNS Planet is only used, for example, where you want to have an extra domain name that points to an existing web hotel, or if you have your own server and only need name service. DNS configuration takes place via a simple web-based control panel.
