It takes more than just a shopping basket to make a good online store.

In OpenBizBox we have focused on making it easy for anyone to manage the daily running of their online store, on attracting customers from sources like the Google search engine, and on making it easy and interesting for visitors to do the shopping - and to come back again.

Below is a brief description of the other features OpenBizBox offers:

In the shop:

  • Unlimited number of products
    You can freely create all the products you wish to sell.
  • Unlimited sales
    There are not limitations or extra charges in relation to your total sales.
  • Unlimited number of customers
    Hopefully you will receive many customers in your shop, and OpenBizBox places no limitations here either
  • Product variants
    Products with different colours, sizes, accessories, etc.
  • Inventory status
    You can display whether a product is in stock, and decide whether or not to permit customers to go to the check out with sold out items in their basket
  • Customer accounts
    Eeah customer can have their own account to make it easy to buy again
  • Address book
    Customers can have several fixed delivery and invoice addresses (e.g. for delivery to work or home).
  • Order history
    Makes it easy to monitor orders and re-order.
  • Shopping basket saved
    Orders can be put together over several visits
  • Shipping costs
    Are displayed in the shopping basket. This makes customers more confident and hence more likely to proceed to the check out.
  • Charges for small orders
    The shopping basket indicates how much more must be ordered to avoid a fee

    Customers can be rewarded with discounts, for example, in relation to purchases within the last 3 months.

    Your customers can make wish lists for their own use or have them emailed to their friends. With one click items can be moved from the wish list to the shopping basket.

    Find products based on various criteria
  • Best selling products
    A hit list containing the best selling products (gives them extra focus and makes them easier to find)

    Shows other purchases made by customers who bought a product being considered

    Recommends batteries for your radio, a hands-free set for your mobile phone, etc.
  • Secure payment
    Secure payment via SSL encryption (padlock displayed)
  • Tip a friend
    Send an email tip to friends who might be interested in the same product - free marketing
  • Testimonials from customers
    Read all the positive comments about the shop made by other customers (entered by the shop owner - extra reassurance for new customers)
  • Newsletter
    Option to subscribe and unsubscribe from newsletters - even for visitors not registered as customers

Administration:

  • Quick Guide
    Helps you quickly configure the basic settings - including the shop name and logo
  • Configuration
    Enable and disable whatever functions you want to offer in the shop
  • Privileges
    The shop owner can access anything, for example, while packing staff might only be permitted to view the orders to be processed. You can also specify a "master code" that allows you to log into any customer's account (e.g. useful if you are helping a customer on the telephone)
  • Day-to-day management
    Fast and easy to add/modify/delete products, categories, manufacturers, customers and reviews
  • Inventory management
    Re-order lists and fast updates
  • Procurement management
    Specify who is your supplier and when a product is to be ordered to the stock and you get a list for easy and quick management to re-order from each of your suppliers.

    Add/delete/change languages and currencies.
    English, German, Spanish and Danish languages can be activated as languages in the shop.
    Update currencies based on the daily exchange rate with a single click

    Unlimited number of payment and delivery options. Many options for payment terms based on order size, weight and form of delivery - more can be freely added
  • Payment by invoice
    Offer all or selected customers payment invoice (no need to pay in advance by credit card)

    You can select products to promote on the front page, permanently or for a limited period
  • Upcomming products
    If you have the latest model of a product on the way from your supplier then it can be presented as a future product that cannot yet be ordered.
  • Order confirmations
    These are automatically sent to the customer when an order is completed - copies can be sent to the shop owner
  • Invoice and credit note
    Display and print with company logo, consecutive numbers, date etc. (configuration and design can be freely customised)
  • Track & Trace
    Makes it possible for the customer to follow their package via UPS, Fedex or CTT.
